He is the recipient of the Morris
Rosenblat Award conferred by the Utah Historical Society in
1972, the Clifford P. Cheney Service to Utah Journalism
Award in 1983, the Outstanding Publication Award conferred
by the National Press Photographers Association in 1991 and
the Service to Journalism Award conferred by the Department
of Communications at the University of Utah in
1996.
In 1964 Wadsworth served as public
relations director for the LDS Church at the Mormon Pavilion
at the New York World's Fair. After returning to Utah he
worked as a freelance writer/photographer for 12 years and
published numerous articles on Utah topics in national
magazines and media outlets.
He is a native of Martinez,
California, was graduated from Alhambra Union High School in
1948, served as a radio operator in the First Marine
Division in the Korean War in 1951, received his
undergraduate degree at San Jose State College in 1954 and
