El Meson Houston

El Meson Houston

This was my first trip so when I do a second trip, I will add an update.Took a co-worker there to celebrate his promotion and he suggested El Meson.Three of us ordered the Pollo Ajillo off their lunch menu and one ordered the Cuban sandwich off their lunch menu. The Pollo Ajillo is chicken with garlic, served with rice, plantains and black beans. The only problem Ihad was that I felt the chicken was a bit too salty and the garlic taste was a bit overwhelming. The plantains were really cooked well and tasted delicious. I am not a big bean eater but their beans were yummy! My boss said the cuban sandwich was good too. The restaurant has a nice feel to it and would make for a perfect dinner spot. The service was great and the maitre'd was extremely good looking and very friendly. WIN!
