Part P Certificate
New laws came into effect regarding a Part P certificate
which meant domestic installers (including approved domestic
installers) carrying out any electrical work in dwellings* must arrange
for a building regulations compliance certificate to be sent out to the
customer. This should be done within 30 days.
*dwellings required by Part P of the buildings regs to be notified
In simpler terms a Part P Certificate must be filled
out by the installer so a building control certificate can be sent out.
This is the law. If you are worried about work done which isn’t
protected by one of these certificates then you can contact us. Testing
and inspection can be undertaken after installation works.
